      Taking challenging classes in high school will prepare you for higher education. All students should strive to be a Texas Scholar. These students must complete the Recommended High School Program (RHSP) or the Distinguished Achievement Program (DAP). Both of these programs include coursework designed to prepare students for higher education.

     Obtaining a GED (diploma equivalency certificate) greatly decreases your chances for entering college or the military and for finding a satisfying job. The more education you have, the more opportunities you will have for success and happiness in your future.
