| This course is offered in the spring following World Agriculture. This course includes beginning animal, plant and soil science. The basic use of hand tools is also covered. | |
| Introduction to Agricultural Mechanics | 1/2 credit |

| This is a course designed to introduce basic theory and specialized skills in agricultural mechanincs. Skills to be developed include tool identification and safe use, carpentry, electricity, plumbing, masonry, fencing, painting, metal working and welding processes. | |
| Plant and Animal Production | 1/2 credit |

| Students will study the growth and development of plants and animals and properties of the soil. Students will grow projects in the experimental lab. | |

| Students wil study the development and growth of animals, an explanation of animal anatomy and physiology related to nutrition, reproduction, health and managment of domestic animals. Students will explore occupations in the animal science industry. | |

| This is a course designed to develop skills in metal equipment assembly and joining processes. Students wil sonstruct metal projects in the lab using oxyacetylene, arc, MIG, TIG, and plasma welding techniques | |
| Agricultural Mechanics | 2 credits |

| This is a mechanincal shop course in which students work with wood and metal materials. Students will learn hands-on activities in the laboratory. Students will have the opportunity to buil individual or group projects in the lab. | |
| Wildlife and Recreation Management | 1/2 credit |

| This is a course designed to examine the importance of wildlife and outdoor recreation with emphasis on using wildlife and natural resources. | |

| Students will study the growth and development of plants, and explore careers in the horticulture industry. Greenhouse and nursery production as well as enviromental issues will be discussed. | |
