Minutes from last meeting read. Minutes amended by Danny Kent: Stacie Schwarz was nominated for 1st VP, not 2nd.  Minutes approved.

Old Business:

·        Sports Banquet:  Decorating early on Thursday, May 14th.  Tickets are sold out but there will be tickets at the door (don’t print anymore we will tally at door).  Serving at 6:00 pm.  Podium and sound system needed; coaches to help with that.  Invitations are all taken care of with no cost to the club.  Paper donated by primary school; printing and addressing by high school.  Tracy Pace saved .41 by taking her sons invitation home!  Tommy Terry and the custodians will clean up after the banquet and be paid by the club.  The pins are in (.50 each) and Danny will take them to athletics.

New Business:

·        Girls Softball:  Regional semi-final games to be played on May 16th at 7:00 pm and the 17th at 1:00 pm vs. Sinton at St. Joseph’s in Victoria.  The softball coaches won’t be attending the banquet due to scouting.

·        May is usually the last official meeting of the year for the club.

·        Fuel:  Coach Hinojosa discussed the rising cost of fuel.  $67,000-70,000 is the usual cost spent and this year it is up to $160,000 already.  Hopefully we can have more track meets here (Jr. High) and volleyball and baseball tournaments.  The district is currently looking at ways to cut the fuel costs.  He thanked the club for the $4,000.00 given to offset all the cost of regional travels this year.

·        Concession:  The condition of the concession stand building is terrible.  There were sightings of mice and roaches by club members.  Mark Engleke wants to get with the new president over the summer and deal with the condition of the building.  The blue lights are missing; they can’t be replaced except at Christmastime.  The BBQ grill was inside the concession building; was it used?  We think so.  Relay for Life refilled our propane tank and also left us 10-15 bags of ice for using the stand.
