“I tell you, the more I think, the more I feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people.’’

--Vincent van Gogh

Web Mastering follows a demo, lessons, activities, lab format.

To build the base that feeds creativity, the students first investigate the capabilities of the Internet and then critically evaluate sites for content and design. Thus prepared, they make their own pages with HTML code and also with editing software such as Dreamweaver. In a final portfolio, students combine original text, images and animations -- set in the framework of graphic design -- to produce sites that sparkle with fresh ideas.

The World Wide Web is all about communicating. For this reason, our students must unite content, graphics, and layout into a personal vision that speaks directly and clearly to their audience.

The students will also review other graphic software such as Photoshop, Powerpoint, Flash and Fireworks.

Throughout projects, class exercises, homework and quizzes, students must follow instructions, apply assignment criteria, and demonstrate good work ethics, leadership, initiative, teamwork, dependability, work habits, discipline, self-management, accountability and responsibility.
