Cub Council

Mrs. Rote has been the enthusiastic elementary Cub Council Sponsor for 5 years.  She feels it is important for students to develop strong leadership skills at an early age.

Students holding offices in Cub Council will be elected using the democratic process.  Students will campaign, design election persuasive posters, and discuss hot topic items personally with students.  Students will then vote by ballot for their favorite candidates after hearing political speeches during their P.E. periods.

Cub Council members work to improve our school environment.  They keep lines of communications open between students and staff.  Student council also works to help improve campus excitement through decorating the hallways during Red Ribbon Week and other holidays.

They are also helping students become more conscious of community endeavors.  They will gather food for the local food pantry at Thanksgiving, will actively work on an “Save Electricity” campaign to help students become aware of things we can do to help conserve electricity, as well as help students and teachers remain aware of the importance of recycling.  They will also assist community members such as PTO the pie distribution.
