Notice of CIPA Compliance

The computers in this room are protected by an Internet firewall and provide filtered, grade-appropriate Internet content and E-Mail access in accordance with CIPA, the Children’s Internet Protection Act.

La Vernia ISD uses the LightSpeed Enterprise Internet Content Filter, featuring automatically updated vendor subscription denial lists in combination with locally managed access lists. The level and category of blocking is customizable by grade level and curriculum.

Copies of the La Vernia ISD Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), Acceptable Posting Policy (APP) and Distance Learning/Video Release Form governing acceptable and appropriate use of the Internet, E-Mail, Distance Learning and all educational technology are available upon request.
