SHARED SERVICES AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE EDGEWOOD COLLABORATIVE
AND LA VERNIA ISD
The primary goal of the consortium's
"Technology Integration in Education" grant expansion application is
to cost effectively enhance educator preparation and development via shared
resources: distance learning, videoconferencing and video-on-demand. The expansion of TIE3 will increase teacher
productivity and student achievement by utilizing technology to expand the
learning process and providing innovative learning opportunities to teachers,
staff, students and the community.
La
Vernia ISD agrees to:
§
Coordinate
with the consortium in regards to the goals, objectives and timeline of the
TIE4 Grant.
§
Process all
grant-related purchase orders for equipment to be owned and maintained by La
Vernia ISD.
§
Directly pay
for grant-related equipment to be owned and maintained by La Vernia ISD, and
present Edgewood ISD with copies of paid invoices and a reimbursement request
in a timely manner.
§
Provide
support and maintenance for equipment to be located in La Vernia ISD, including
the video-on-demand server/router/software systems, three portable roll-about
videoconferencing systems, one camcorder, and one video digitizer card with
editing software.
§
Maintain
record keeping and inventory on grant equipment to be owned by La Vernia ISD.
§
Maintain the
T1-based link between La Vernia ISD and Edgewood ISD, which has been
established in this grant, for four additional years.
§
Provide
expertise and technical assistance to implement the video distribution system.
§
Provide
supplemental training in concert with the (grant funded) Distributed Learning
Specialist.
§
Provide the
Distributed Learning Specialist access to the existing library of training and
instructional content, as copyright allows, for digital conversion, storage and
distribution as online content.
§
Cooperatively
make in-house staff development and instructional sessions available for video
conferencing, recording, storage and distribution.
§
Collaborate
with all partners regarding implementation of the grant.
§
Adhere to the
financial system requirements of TEA and the TIE4 fiscal agent.
§
Provide data
necessary to comply with evaluation requirements.
§
Coordinate and
cooperate with all consortia members and make available all content and resources
acquired through this grant for a period of five years from the start date of
the grant.
Edgewood
ISD agrees to:
§
Coordinate
with the consortium in regards to the goals, objectives and timeline of the
TIE4 Grant.
§
Adhere to
established TEA accounting principals permitting La Vernia ISD to directly
purchase grant-related equipment which will reside in and be maintained by La
Vernia ISD after the grant period.
§
Process all
grant-related requests for reimbursement for equipment purchased by and
residing in La Vernia ISD, and provide reimbursement to La Vernia ISD within a
30-day window.
§
Maintain
record keeping and inventory on grant equipment to be owned by Edgewood
ISD.
§
Retain
ownership and provide support for grant equipment to be located in Edgewood ISD.
§
Provide
expertise and technical assistance to implement the video distribution system.

§

to collaborate to the fullest extent possible in making the Edgewood Collaborative
TIE4 grant successful and to fulfill the activities cited in this document.
