In years past, after a child owed an equivalent of 2 meals, he or she was given an alternate meal which consisted of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a milk.

This year, however, we have opted to become a “NO CHARGE LIMIT” district. In order to better meet the needs of our students and see to their nutritional wellness, we have instated a new policy throughout the district that allows all children to eat a hot lunch everyday, regardless of the balance on their account.

To keep this new policy in effect, we have to rely on the parents to maintain their child’s lunch account.  The school Child Nutrition Department is State and Federally funded. We rely on dollars brought into the program to pay our programs costs. How can you help? You can keep your child’s account balance positive.

At mynutrikids.com there is no fee to VIEW your child’s account.  You can view account balances, history and payment information all at no charge.  We have put account maintenance back into the hand of the parents so we can be about our business of feeding your children.  Our cashiers tell students everyday when they owe money so they are aware of this also.  You may also contact the Child Nutrition Department to get a balance on an account at (830)779-2181 ext 2241.

Please help us keep this new policy effective by paying any charges promptly.  We will be glad to work with you if you have a problem or question or need temporary assistance.  If at any time, your household income decreases or household size increases, you may want to consider filling out an application for free or reduced price lunches.
